Surf apartments in Taghazout

Three homes.
One village.
Endless right-handers.

Taghazout is Morocco's surf capital: a fishing village of blue doors and sun-bleached walls where world-class point breaks peel along the Atlantic. Our three apartments sit right in the middle of it. Check the swell from the terrace, walk to the line-up, come home to linen sheets and a hot shower.

The village

Taghazout,
Morocco's surf capital

Twenty kilometres north of Agadir, Taghazout has drawn surfers since the 1960s. From October to April, Atlantic swells wrap into a string of long right-hand points. In summer the waves soften and the village slows down to the rhythm of mint tea and grilled sardines.

  • A long right below the cliffs, named after the orcas once spotted here. Comes alive on the big winter swells.

    10 min drive
  • Morocco's most famous wave: a fast, peeling right that can run for hundreds of metres on its best winter days.

    15 min walk
  • Right in front of the village and our apartments. Playful waves on smaller days, with the whole village watching from the café terraces.

    On your doorstep
  • A consistent, mellow right at the south end of the bay. The perfect step up once you are catching green waves.

    15 min walk
  • A soft, sandy-bottomed right at the river mouth in Tamraght, where most surf schools take their first-timers.
